Desiging

Did some sea horse studies to capture the texture. On the right did some rough sketching of the head and helmet design.

It's at this point I decided to have front crab legs.On the right I came up with these curvy shapes for the crab feet as it reflects the shape of an African shield.

Fore the face I was confused to either have a short face or an elongated face. However I decided on the elongated one as it presented the character as more regal.

The proportions of this sketch don't feel right.
